We recently had the privilege of restoring the tailpiece and tuners from a beautiful 1966 Gibson Johnny Smith archtop guitar for longtime customer Stephen Talbot. The original hardware had lost much of its luster over the years, but our team carefully restored each piece to preserve its vintage character while giving it a brilliant, factory-quality finish.
What makes this project even more meaningful is the trust behind it. This is the third restoration project Stephen has entrusted to us, and we're honored that he continues to choose Advanced Plating to help preserve instruments and components that carry both historical and personal significance.
Vintage guitars deserve craftsmanship that respects their history. Whether it's automotive trim, motorcycle parts, marine hardware, or rare musical instruments, our goal is always the same: deliver a finish that looks exceptional while honoring the original piece.
Have a vintage instrument or specialty part that needs restoration? Contact Advanced Plating to learn how our restoration and plating services can help preserve your piece for generations to come.
