A lessor known car brand from the past that many forget about is LaSalle. From 1927-1941 the LaSalle brand was produced and sold as a sister brand to Cadillac, as a more economical option to its higher priced counterpart. Nevertheless, a lower price could not save this stylish car brand from its ultimate demise. As a result, today the LaSalle is considered a rare collector car with exceptional style that stands out in a crowd of Chevrolet’s and Ford’s. Advanced Plating customer John Fry recognized the striking beauty of the 1940 model and commissioned the crew at BBT Fabrications to build a one of a kind street rod for him using a ’40 model. The champagne color paint with the chrome grilles and gold plated name badges, all plated by Advanced Plating, makes for a gorgeous look that made the car a top five finalist for Street Rod of Year at the Goodguy’s Nationals.
